At Filament, we believe the mission matters. Our team is made up of experienced information security professionals, many with prior Department of Defense (DoD) backgrounds, who understand how to build and sustain effective security programs for organizations that need it most.
We specialize in serving nonprofits, schools, and public sector entities — the target-rich, cyber-poor organizations often overlooked by the industry. Our work is technical and focused on real-world impact by improving the governance, risk, and compliance of those we serve through the following work:
- Risk assessments and development of remediation plans
- Compliance assessments (NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls)
- Incident response planning and tabletop exercises
- Vulnerability scanning and management
- Policy and procedure development for security and compliance programs
